Couple of things.
First, we’ve implemented ssl on the site. You are now going to be completely secure when you view the page, or enter in passwords and email. The lock icon should be perfectly visible on your browsers. That was one improvement that had to be setup. Google is reducing your site ranking if you don’t have SSL active on your page, which doesn’t make sense to me for sites that don’t REQUIRE SSL. But that’s Google’s right and I must abide by it.
So, you will now have your passwords and pretty much everything you do here encrypted. Hooray Security.
The site for the most part is ready to go. If you want to come in and start adding content, create new forum topics, or join a group you can. I’ll be trying to figure out how to add SOME new things, but mostly this is pretty much it until I decide to start trying to build a Drupal 8 version. We’re going to get the legacy content in one way or the other, and then we’ll go from there.
I’ll be working on adding more content to the page as I go, but it’s also on you guys who read this to join the page, and create new content as well.
I’m turning on the publishing rules as well now. Anything that gets added WILL ended up on the Facebook and Twitter feeds. Assuming of course it works as intended.
One of the things I want to do is to start creating screen casts and such to post to the page, either game streams for the Fanbards side, or screen casts for the Bookshelf group. We’ll proceed further as we go.
Anyone with any ideas of how to do certain things are welcome to join and discuss those things in the admin or Bookshelf forums. Give me an idea of what I should be doing.
On to actually writing and creating again.
